The Golf Scorecard App

The Golf Scorecard App Built for Every Round

Two ways to score. Start a game with your group and snap the paper card mid-round for live leaderboard updates every 9 holes, or capture your own scorecard after the round. AI reads every score either way. Available on iOS.

Two Ways to Score a Round

Most scorecard apps force one workflow. SnapCard gives you two, and both feed the same round history, handicap, and BirdieBank stats so nothing gets lost.

Playing Mode

Live rounds with your group

Plan a round or a multi-round trip, invite your playing partners (including your SnapBuds), then snap the paper card mid-round for a live leaderboard update every 9 holes. Everyone sees the scores without passing the card around the cart.

  • ·Single round or multi-round trip
  • ·Invite players via shared link
  • ·Live leaderboard refreshes every 9 holes

Score Capture Mode

Solo round, one snap after

Playing alone or skipping the group flow? Keep scoring on the paper card the course hands you. At the 19th hole, take one photo. The AI reads every hole, score, and par value in about 5 seconds and saves the round to your history.

  • ·Fastest solo workflow
  • ·Works with most standard golf scorecards worldwide
  • ·Edit any hole if the handwriting fooled the scanner

Either way, after the round

BirdieBank™ Index, round history, and trends update automatically

Every round — group game or solo snap — feeds your BirdieBank™ Index (SnapCard’s proprietary performance metric, calculated from course rating and slope), your round history, and your scoring trends. No GHIN number required.

How the Scorecard App Works

  1. 1

Pick your mode before you tee off

Playing Mode if your group wants a live leaderboard: plan the round (or multi-round trip), invite your players and SnapBuds. Score Capture Mode if you're playing solo and just want the round saved to your history — no setup needed.

  2. 2

Score on paper, snap the card

Every round uses the paper card the course hands you — no fiddling with tiny text fields between shots. In Playing Mode, snap the card after each 9 so the whole group sees the leaderboard update. In Score Capture Mode, snap once after the 18th. The AI reads every hole, score, and par value in about 5 seconds.

  3. 3

BirdieBank™ Index and stats update automatically

Either way, the round saves to your history and your BirdieBank™ Index updates — SnapCard’s proprietary performance metric, calculated from course rating and slope. No GHIN number required. Nothing else for you to do.

Golf Scorecard App FAQ

What is the SnapCard golf scorecard app?

SnapCard is an iOS golf scorecard app that turns paper scorecards into digital ones using AI. You keep scoring on the paper card your course hands you; SnapCard reads it in about 5 seconds from a single photo. It works in two modes: Playing Mode for group games (plan a round or multi-round trip, invite your players and SnapBuds, snap mid-round for a live leaderboard update every 9 holes) and Score Capture Mode for a solo post-round snap that saves to your history.

What's the difference between Playing Mode and Score Capture Mode?

Playing Mode is for group play. You plan the round (or a multi-round trip), invite your playing partners and SnapBuds, and snap the paper card mid-round so everyone sees the live leaderboard update every 9 holes. Score Capture Mode is for solo tracking — you play on paper alone, snap one photo after the 18th, and the round saves to your history. Both use the same AI scanner; pick whichever fits the round.

How much does SnapCard cost?

SnapCard is free to download and play. Free members can complete 3 full games with unlimited scorecard scans inside each game, and see their most recent 5 rounds in history. SnapCard Pro unlocks unlimited games, unlimited round history, BirdieBank™ Index tracking, Trophy Card exports, and more — $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Cancel anytime.

How does the AI golf scorecard scanner work?

SnapCard uses advanced AI and OCR technology to instantly read handwritten scorecards. Take a photo and the app converts your scores into digital stats in seconds with high accuracy. In Playing Mode you can scan after each 9 to update the live leaderboard; in Score Capture Mode you scan once after the 18th.

Do I need a GHIN number to use SnapCard?

No. SnapCard works independently of GHIN. Our BirdieBank™ Index automatically calculates your performance based on course rating and slope without requiring a GHIN membership.

How do I share my rounds with friends?

SnapCard includes a Trophy Card feature that generates beautiful, branded images of your round results. Tap the share button to send via text, social media, or save to your camera roll. Playing Mode also lets your invited group see the live leaderboard update every 9 holes during the round itself.

Is there an Android version of the scorecard app?

SnapCard is currently available for iOS (iPhone and iPad). Android support is on the roadmap. For now, you can use SnapCard on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 or later.

Is SnapCard available worldwide?

Yes. SnapCard is available in the App Store and works with most standard golf course scorecards worldwide. The AI recognizes standard formats and extracts course name, date, and hole-by-hole scores.

Stop Retyping Scorecards

Play on paper. Snap one photo. Let the app do the rest. SnapCard is free to download and free to keep using.
